Garbage service is provided to the residents of Pleasant Grove by Waste Management. The garbage service is mandatory for all residents as stated in Ordinance No. 390. The fee for this service is $16.00 monthly and is billed quarterly in the amount of $48.00. The garbage service includes weekly curbside pickup with one 95-gallon container that is provided by Waste Management for household garbage. Waste Management will provide an additional cart for $6.00 more a month. You may also place up to five 30 gallon size yard debris bags or a small hand pile beside your cart for pickup on your garbage day. All carts should be placed curbside by 6:00 a.m. on your day of pickup. Please call 744-1728 to set up service.
GARBAGE CARTS
Waste Management provides one 95 gallon container per household. Waste Management will provide an additional cart for $6.00 more a month.
Carts that need repairs or need to be replaced please call city hall @ 744-1728. Please remember that the carts are the property of Waste Management and are to remain at the property if you should move.
HOLIDAY SCHEDULE:
Observed holidays for Waste Management include: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. When a holiday falls during the week, your service will be delayed by one day for the remainder of that week.
Example: If your normal garbage pickup day is Monday and it is a holiday then your garbage will be picked up on Tuesday and each day after the holiday will be picked up a day late.
BILLING:
The quarterly fee for garbage service is $48.00. This bill may be paid at city hall, mailed to the above address, placed in the night drop box located beside the double doors at the side entrance of city hall, or paid online by clicking here.

SPRING CLEAN UP WEEK:
Every spring we have a clean up week normally in March to help residents dispose of unwanted items. Dumpsters are set up at the bottom of the city park and most items are accepted unless they are hazardous. Items that would not be accepted are tires, oil, batteries, flammable or explosive items or anything similar to this.
PAINT CANS
Paint must be hardened or dried for pickup. Paint cans with liquid paint or not dry must be filled with cat litter or sand and put beside your cart for pick up.
